Eighteen years ago, Alex phoned just before Christmas and asked if we minded him bringing a friend home for the holiday - a young lady. We were slightly apprehensive as he'd only met her a few weeks previously, but we needn't have worried, as on opening the door to greet them I was thrilled to meet such a lovely girl and I instantly knew we'd get on famously. We shared our love of cats and dogs, country walking, shopping at White Stuff and had similar views on most things. We could see how happy and right for each other they were. A few weeks later Alex phoned to tell us he'd asked Kellie to marry him and we were as pleased as punch to welcome her into our family. I couldn't have chosen a lovelier daughter-in-law. We've been so upset for Kellie over the last months with her health problems. We wished we lived much closer and could have helped in some way. We just can't believe that Kellie isn't with us any more - it's just not right. I haven't been able to accept it. I can't put into words how devastated I am - it's so wrong. Dear Kellie I'll miss you so,so much. I hope you knew how dear you were to me.
